Near disaster landing - not!

Here at flying without fear, we are passionate about giving you back choices when it comes to travel.   This video clip and the copy that goes with it are more examples of nonsense that is written in the public domain by people who don't know what they are talking about!

There, said it now.  This is the clip that was doing the rounds this week. It is not as it is written below.  That is why we enjoy running our courses as we can explain why this is not an 'averted disaster!'

Here is the link, watch with caution as it is not a near disaster moment.
"This airplane came frighteningly close to disaster while attempting to land at Schiphol in Amsterdam recently. Strong winds made conditions difficult for the pilot, who seemed to misjudge his approach to the runway. At the last moment, the right edge of the plane tilts, with the right wheel touching the runway for less than a second before the pilot pulls up quickly. Luckily, the second attempt goes much more smoothly, and disaster is averted."

Anyway, if you want to hear the facts, the absolute truth and not this nonsense... Please come and join us at one of our courses.

Take care
