We thought that we would share this tip with you. One of the delegates had been doing lots of work to help herself beat her fears before she joined us at Birmingham yesterday. She had been seeing a cognitive behaviour therapist.
One of the tips he had taught her in order to feel more comfortable was a really simple one that we just had to share it with you.
He had told her to buy a small container of a smell that she really liked such as citrus or whatever the smell that it is. Her therapist told her that whenever she wanted to feel good, she could simply put a little bit of the 'smell she liked' on and she would be instantly in a better frame of mind.
One of the first flying without fear psychotherapists used to do the same but we had completely forgotten this easy, cheap and effective tip.
For you to make use of this tip...
Think of a smell that you really like... Vanilla, citrus, peppermint, Old Spice.. Whatever it is, when you want to feel good, it is one of the quickest ways to stimulate that feeling. Don't take our word for it, why not try it yourself?
