New Year's resolutions and the like...

Happy New Year!

Hello from the virgin atlantic flying without fear team.

It is about this time of year that a lot of people set themselves new year resolutions.   For us, we see a lot of bookings over this time too but that is not what this blog is about today.

One simple message meant with good intent.

If you are thinking about buying a present for someone, such as a fear of flying course, please involve them in the decision making process.

Why?

When someone has a fear of flying, they literally believe they are going to die when they fly.  So, buying the surprise present of a fear of flying course = you want me to die then?!?!

When attendees come onto our course and they have been 'sent' by a well-meaning friend or relative, they are mostly not particularly pleased about that...to say the least!  It can take us quite a while to help the 'gift-receiver' find the motivation to stay and make the most of the day.

The idea of a flying without fear course as a present is a fabulous one - it is a gift that keeps on giving.  A lifetime of being able to fly comfortably is a great present.  All we ask is that you involve the fearful person in the process.  We know that they will get a heck of a lot more from the course that way.

Take care
