Cartwheels

Sunday the 11th March 2012, we ran a fear of flying course at Gatwick Airport.  It went really well and something happened at the end of that day which has never happened before.  Thought it was worth a mention.

Rewinding a bit.  We use a slide near the beginning of our courses to explain how the day works.  We explain to the attendees that the course is designed to give you choices about flying. As a minimum, we are offering you the chance to control the fear and for some it will be get rid of your fear completely.

We show this slide below and ask people to imagine where they are right now at the beginning of the course. By the end of the course, our 98% success rate has shown that people will move along this scale and feel differently about flying.

We explain that people will be at different places along this scale for whatever reasons.  We would love it if by the end of the day, you will want to do cartwheels when you think of flying!

At the end of the course, after a very long but rewarding day, we bring everybody back to the hotel for a bit of a question and answer session.  This course finished quite late so people were keen to shoot off home.  One attendee came into the room as one of us was speaking on the microphone and she literally did a cartwheel!
What a fantastic moment for all 100+ people in the room to witness!  Thank you

Take care
