Birmingham course

We ran a course on 26th February - Sunday at Birmingham.

It went really really well. The 110 people that joined us to face their fears were amazing. It was incredible to see what is possible to change in a day.

Nearly everyone flew but for a handful. Those that came to the airport and decided not to fly, Paul escorted back and over a coffee we had a mini debrief

When somebody comes onto one of our courses but decides not to take our narrated flight it is fine. We don't think any the less of them as we know what courage it takes to even turn up in the first place. Plus, they will be back when they are ready.

One such returner (from a previous course) came back and, albeit nervous, took the flight. She was elated. The last time she came on our course, her boyfriend finished the relationship because she wouldn't fly. Some support!

Anyway, his loss.

Next fear of flying course coming up is at Gatwick on March 11TH...

Take care

  1. Paul, Richard, captain Steve, DR Jo and the rest of the team, thank you so much for running the flying course on 26th Feb 2012. I had a fantastic day. My team leader was great and really made me feel comfortable as did everyone on the day. I had never flown before and I had a massive general anxiety about flying.I didn't know what to expect, how it would make me feel etc but Captain steve's running commentary really helped. For me, this was the scariest thing I have ever done.....and I loved it. I have met some amazing people on the course inc Sue and clara who I hope to stay in touch with. I have already framed my certificate and its taken pride of place in my home. Once again thanks to everyone on the course. Gary Talbot (
